Earlier this week VRFocus reported on Kelly Bailey a one-man developer going under the name of Indimo Labs, who used to be Senior Game Designer of Sound and Music at Valve, revealing a new virtual reality (VR) project for the HTC Vive head-mounted display (HMD) called Vanishing Realms: Rite of Steel. Announced at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2016, more screenshots are now available of the videogame.

Vanishing Realms: Rite of Steel is a role-playing game (RPG) that Bailey has created especially for VR. Set in a rich fantasy world, players will be able to make full use of the HTC Vive’s Room Scale motion-tracking system Lighthouse, for melee and magical combat.

The four images below showcase the dark, rich graphical art style Bailey has created. With tombs cast in deep blues and purples, while a torch lit outside glowing in reds and orange is bathed by a glowing moon. The third image also reveals the first enemy seen in Vanishing Realms: Rite of Steel, a skeletal warrior brandishing a sword and shield, likely one of many base level enemies players will have to face.

Bailey is planning to launch the title via Steam Early Access on the HTC Vive’s launch day, 5th April. VRFocus will continue to bring you any further details of  Vanishing Realms: Rite of Steel, as development progresses.
