GRIP Digital and Teotl Studios have released several development updates over the past few weeks for their single-player survival adventure videogame, The Solus Project. Today the developers have released a third video update to the virtual reality (VR) compatible project, revealing further details of the protagonists back story.

In The Solus Project players are stranded on a strange deserted alien planet having been sent there by the last remnants of mankind, looking for a new world to call home after Earth is destroyed. Approaching the planet disaster strikes your spaceship, which then crashes to the surface. With your crew dead you you must survive the harsh, volatile environment. While the planet is seemingly empty, you’ll be confronted with merciless weather, as you try to unravel the deep secrets hidden under the surface.

Steam Early Access will be launched for The Solus Project on 18th February while the Xbox Game Preview will be available on 26th, February 2016. Virtual reality (VR) support will be available but its not been confirmed if the early access version will include it.
