Earlier today VRFocus reported that the official app for this weekend’s long-awaited PlayStation fan event, the PlayStation Experience, had seemingly leaked the existence of a brand new PlayStation VR title in Modern Zombie Taxi. The leak seemed to suggest that indie developer Vitei Backroom’s virtual reality (VR) compatible PC project, The Modern Zombie Taxi Co, was on its way to PlayStation 4 with support for the upcoming VR HMD. It’s possible to earn extra points for destruction to the environment and the title is played from a first-person perspective.

No release date for The Modern Zombie Taxi Co was given, but PlayStation VR itself is set to launch in the first half of 2016. A specific launch date and price for the device is yet to be revealed. The kit boasts a 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate that’s capable of ‘reprojecting’ experiences in 120fps. That essentially means that titles running at 60fps natively can have their framerate doubled in-HMD without actually having to meet this demanding requirement on the PlayStation 4 hardware.
