The Idolmaster has seen a vast expansion since its launch back in 2005, and now 11 years later it is coming to virtual reality (VR) and the player can get on a different level with the pop stars. Now Bandai Namco has announced its newest installation of Idolmaster to be The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Viewing Revolution, and it will be coming to PlayStation VR in Japan in time for its launch.

This Idolmaster is very much in line with the series where players can watch the career of a producer who works in the entertainment business with pop idols. In Indolmaster: Cinderella Girls Viewing Revolution it is not clear what the exact storyline is, but as it is clear from the trailer the pop stars are all Cinderella or princess themed, and the trailer can be watched below.

Players will be part of the crowd who are all wielding multi-coloured glow sticks, cheering on each of the girls who take to the stage and perform their dancing and singing show. There will be up to nine idols that can be watched during live shows. As well as being part of the crowd, the player will be able to get closer and feel more personal with their favourite pop idols who feature in the videogame thanks to VR.

The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Viewing Revolution will be releasing at the same time as the launch of the PlayStation VR, on 13th October this year, and it will currently only be available in Japan. It isn’t clear how much the title will cost as in the translation on the trailer below claims that it is yet to be confirmed, but for more on this title as well as the latest news and updates in the world of VR, make sure to check back with VRFocus.
