The 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) wrapped up this past weekend, bringing an end to the first of many virtual reality (VR) relevant events for the year. The next major VR showing for the entire industry will likely be the inaugural Virtual Reality Developers Conference (VRDC), running alongside GDC in March, though there are some smaller conferences and shows to look forward to in the meantime. One of these is a new one day conference that’s taking place in Seattle towards the end of this month.

The event, titled ‘Realizing the Potential of Virtual Reality’, will take place on Thursday, 28th January 2016 from 08:00 – 17:00 PST in the Renaissance Seattle Hotel at 515 Madison St. Tickets are now available at an Eventbrite page for $170 USD.

“Join event chair Tim Porter from Madrona Venture Group, along with leading innovators, investors, and entrepreneurs to learn more about the growing Virtual and Augmented Reality industry in Washington state,” an official description reads. “The region’s key players in this space will come together to present a comprehensive look at the field – identifying opportunities, showcasing their products, and presenting a glimpse of the future. Learn the latest, network with colleagues, and experience for yourself the newest products being developed in the virtual reality/augmented reality space.”

VRFocus will continue to report on any and all VR events.
