Amazing at is seems we’re already in to the second week of 2016. Time certain flies, and today courtesy of USA Today so do we.

In this video from late last year take a 360 degree trip as part of the Blue Angels display team, the US Navy’s equivilent of the Red Arrows or the Patrouille de France. Formed in 1946, making them the second oldest flight display team in the world after their French counterparts (1931) this video shows the flight of F/A-18 Hornets in action, performing a diamond formation with the camera positioned inside the cockpit of Blue Angel 4. Allowing you a look a unique look into the kind of accuracy and nerve it takes to perform what appears to be even the simplest of acrobatic feats and shows you just how close the aircraft get.

Or as one commenter on the 360 degree YouTube video puts it: “‘Knock Knock’ ‘Who’s there?’ ‘My left wing’.”

VRFocus will continue to bring you examples of the 360 degree video technology in action. Be sure to check back regularly for all the latest virtual reality (VR) news and features.
