Spin Master Air Hogs Connect AR Game Featuring at CES 2016

    Next week the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada, will showcase the very latest technology from companies around the globe. It will be a hive of gadgets and gismos, with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) tech due to be heavily supported by some of the biggest names in the business. But while names like Oculus VR are likely to draw in the VR enthusiasts, other firms will be revealing their newest VR/AR ideas and products. One of those will be Spin Master a Canadian global toy and entertainment company with Air Hogs Connect.

    Air Hogs Connect merges Spin Masters experience with remote control (RC) vehicles with an AR videogame. Flying a real drone from the Air Hogs range, players interact with virtual missions through a users smartphone or tablet device. Inside the AR world you are tasked with saving the planet from invading alien enemies. Using a smart device to fly the RC drone the tech also features a custom mat to activate the AR portion, that can be placed wherever is suitable.

    The app has been designed for ease of use with kids from 10years+ able to enjoy the game play, vanquishing aliens, extinguishing fires all while challenging for top spot in a worldwide online leaderboard.
