California-based indie studio Solus Games, a developer that has previously created videogames for iOS devices and Windows store has now announced its latest project. The studio is creating a virtual reality (VR) title for PlayStation VR on PlayStation 4 called Disco Flux, which it’ll be demonstrating at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2016 this week.

Disco Flux is a disco themed rhythm-based shooter which allows gamers to import their own music, creating a customised VR experience. It neon retro styling compliments the built-in disco tunes available if you don’t have any music to import. The videogame features four modes that switch dynamically to give players a challenging unique experience.

Solus Games plan on launching the title when the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) arrives. Other VR platforms are planned with the Oculus VR logo appearing at the start of the trailer below, and a guy is wearing an Oculus Rift DK2 as well. No details have yet been given when Solus Games plans to deliver the Oculus Rift version.

VRFocus will continue to bring you the latest details from GDC 2016, reporting back with any further announcements.
