There’s lots of ways to relieve the everyday stresses and strains of modern day life. Grab a virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) and you can whisk yourself away to incredible worlds filled with action and adventure. But for those looking for a more relaxed affair, Ninja VR will soon be launching its Tropical Dream VR experience on both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive headsets.

Tropical Dream VR takes players to a island paradise where they can explore the island, swim in the sea and generally just put their feet up. Designed as a kind of VR meditation experience, and unlike most other meditation apps Tropical Dream VR allows players a greater range of interaction with the scene around you, from the butterflies and bonfires, to the tropical birds and sea life, it all there to provide a tranquil, calming atmosphere. And for a more personal touch you’ll be able to add your own pictures to customise the scene.

And should you get lonely Tropical Dream VR also comes with a digital companion, Jasmine. As shown in the video, you’ll be able to swim together, sit with her on the beach or just wait for the sunrise in front of a bonfire with her, while listening the distant sounds of the ocean.

Ninja VR has yet said when Tropical Dream VR will be launching on the HMDs, jsut stating ‘coming soon’. But for those who’re interested in what the experience offers there’s a mobile version already available for iOS and Android, for use with Google Cardboard on similar headsets. It’s almost the same just with reduced content and a reduced visual quality.

As Ninja VR releases further details on Tropical Dream VR, VRFocus will bring you the latest updates.
