The keynote for Google’s I/O conference has now drawn to a close and with it came the announcement for a brand new head-mounted display (HMD) called Google Daydream. One of the first videogame developers to reveal its work on the headset is Solitaire Jester creator Resolution Games. The studio has unveiled virtual reality (VR) title Wonderglade today with an initial screenshot.

Details released on the videogame so far refer to Wonderglade as family friendly, where players a put in a carnival themed world featuring new and familiar games.

“We think Wonderglade will be an ideal component in helping Google reach mass market as a game everyone can enjoy and the perfect door-opener for those new to VR,” said Resolution Games’ CEO Tommy Palm. “Virtual Reality is something that everyone can enjoy. It is a far too important human discovery to be exclusive to a handful of gamers. The world needs interactive worlds that are intuitive, social and non violent.”

Talking about Google Daydream Palm added: “With Daydream’s potential reach and accessibility and the current mobile VR headsets on the market, mobile is on track to become the number one VR platform in regards to headsets in the marketplace and potential for mainstream adoption. We are very excited to have been invited to be part of Google’s new VR initiative. We feel we share the same vision for VR and are looking forward to working together to increase VR’s spread into mainstream and setting additional standards for the future of VR.”

Resolution Games first VR title was Solitaire Jester for the Samsung Gear VR headset. Then in March 2016 the developer launched its second Gear VR title Bait!

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Google Daydream, reporting back with any further announcements.
