Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE’s) PlayStation VR may still be several months away from release but that hasn’t stopped developers teasing titles for the platform. Recently Secret Sorcery revealed Tethered and How We Soar came from Penny Black Studios. Today’s announcement comes by way of Tarsier Studios with a puzzle title called Statik.

Statik is a puzzle experience where your hands are inside a box, around this box are various switches, dials, gauges and levers that form the basis of the puzzles. But all these different features change everyday, and you only have use of your brain, eyes and ears to solve the mysteries, your hands are trapped inside a box after all.

Coming from the minds behind LittleBigPlanet for the PS Vita, Statik is the studio’s first virtual reality (VR) title and the team wanted to create something “fun and substantial” with their first offering. In a PlayStation.Blog posting the team said: “VR is full of potential for new approaches to gameplay and storytelling and, for our first go at it, we didn’t want to take the easy way out. Something that is more than just a novelty. It took a lot of very strange late-night discussions to come up with the concept for Statik, but we feel that we’ve found something that achieves our goals… and adds a few extra things that we’ll pretend we meant all along!”

Few other details have been released other than the trailer, but more news will likely arrive next week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 when the title is showcased at the event.
