Robot Invader launched its puzzle-solving crime mystery experience Dead Secret on Samsung’s Gear VR last year which VRFocus reviewed and gave top marks to. Then in March the studio released the title for Oculus Rift on Oculus Home and Steam, with the latter’s community giving very positive feedback to the title. All that’s missing from the head-mounted display (HMD) line-up is the HTC Vive, and today Robot Invader has announced the launch date for it as well.

The well received videogame will be available on Steam from 18th August for HTC Vive, so that owners of the headset can see what all the fuss is about.

As an added bonus for those who’ve already purchased Dead Secret on Steam, whether for the non-VR version or Oculus Rift, the videogame will be updated to play on HTC Vive at no extra cost.

Dead Secret is a mystery thriller set in rural Kansas in 1965 where you play as an ambitious journalist on a mission to make headlines. You arrive at the house of Harris Bullard, a reclusive man with a mysterious past who was found dead in his study five days previous. No foul play is suspected, least of all the police. But as a journalist looking for the next big story you know better: this is murder, and it’s up to you to prove it.

You’ll have to comb the crime scene for clues and decipher the mystery of Bullard’s twisted past by exploring the dead man’s home and uncovering secret documents, to name the killer.

If you’ve not purchased Dead Secret before then it’ll cost £10.99 GBP/£14.99 USD on Steam if you want to try it now.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Dead Secret, reporting back with any further updates.
