Pool fans are soon going to be able to play Cherry Pop Games and Perilous Orbit’s virtual reality (VR) pool title Pool Nation VR. Originally the videogame was due to launch on 28th April, but due limited hardware, a small team and insufficient time to fully test out the multiplayer features the developers decided to delay the launch until June 2016. No exact date was given on when Pool Nation VR would be arriving on HTC Vive, that is until today. A new launch date of 1st June 2016 has now been confirmed.

Pool Nation VR isn’t just about playing traditional pool. Set in a fully detailed bar, players will be able to interact with all sorts of objects lying around, setup trick shots, play virtual darts, smash bottles and play snooker.

The games will be customisable, being able to choose from several variations of pool and snooker with popular rule sets, or just hang out and hit some balls in free play. There will be online and offline opponents so you’ll be able to play against friends or AI.

The videogame will be available through Steam for $19.99 USD. VRFocus previewed Pool Nation VR back in April, and we’ll bring you all the latest news from Cherry Pop Games and Perilous Orbit as announcements are made.
