Skonec Entertainment Co.,Ltd.’s Mortal Blitz is coming to western territories, VRFocus can today confirm. Following the announcement earlier this week that the videogame is targeting a release alongside the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) this October, Skonec has revealed to VRFocus that North America and Europe will receive the title on PlayStation 4 at launch also.

Mortal Blitz first launched on Samsung and Oculus VR’s mobile HMD collaboration, Gear VR, last year. Since then, Skonec has revealed that the PlayStation VR edition of the videogame will be much more hectic than its mobile VR counterpart, with more enemies on-screen at any one time and a greater visual fidelity revealed in an early gameplay trailer for Mortal Blitz.

“We would like to let you know that Mortal Blitz for PSVR will be globally released, including US and Europe. We have announced in Korea first since there was the conference for PSVR at this period,” stated Jordhan Choi of Skonec in communication with VRFocus. “I guarantee that the experience of Mortal Blitz for PSVR will be more entertaining than Mortal Blitz for Gear VR.”

While Mortal Blitz has now been confirmed to arrive with the PlayStation VR HMD at launch, it’s still not currently known exactly when in October 2016 the device will arrive. The HMD is looking set to have plenty of support at launch, with over 230 developers having signed-up to produce content for the platform. Skonec is just one of these developers, with a number of other Korean studios having recently revealed their projects also, including a rebirth of the infamous Hellgate videogame franchise.

Skonec will undoubtedly be offering more detail on Mortal Blitz’s PlayStation VR edition in the coming months, and VRFocus will be sure to keep you updated with all the latest details.
