Sony Computer Entertainment’s (SCEs) last PlayStation Experience event in December was a success, with new announcements for the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) for PlayStation 4. Now SCE has revealed it’ll be taking the headset to the 2016 Taipei Game Show which begins next week.

SCE will be holding an opening ceremony on Friday 29th, January, with a PlayStation VR Special Stage show for The Playroom VR videogame. Taking the stage will be SCE’s Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, The Playroom VR producer and creative director Nicolas Doucet, and Dears duo Dewi Chien and Dabe Chen. There will be a live stream from the show between 1pm – 2pm Taipei, Taiwan time via YouTube.

The Playroom VR is a collection of virtual reality (VR) mini-games that will be available when the HMD launches. Since its first reveal SCE Japan has showcased number of its mini-games so far including Monster EscapeGhost House and Cat N Mouse.

No further details have been given on what other titles SCE maybe showing in relation to PlayStation VR, but as the 2016 Taipei Game Show is one of the smaller shows no big announcements are expected.

But the doesn’t mean VRFocus won’t be keeping an eye on the show, reporting back any new announcements that are made.
