As promised by Oculus VR co-founder, Palmer Luckey, at CES 2016, Las Vegas, back in January, customers who pre-ordered their Oculus Rift are now being offered a discount on the specially branded Oculus Ready PC range of hardware. Various hardware manufacturers have been included in the promotion, but voucher codes are now being issued for Alienware PCs.

Three desktop PCs are available for UK delivery, with a £130 GBP discount offered via a code in the Oculus Rift pre-order customer’s Order Status area on Oculus VR’s official website. Two editions of the Alienware X51, featuring either 8GB or 16GB Dual Channel DDR4 RAM and a 1TB mechanical HDD or 256 SSD respectively, and the Alienware Area-51 machine are included within the promotion.

Upon attempting to redeem the promotional discount code the user will be informed that it expires on 30th June 2016. It’s not currently clear whether other manufacturers will join this promotion before this date, and whether or not the will need a different promotional discount code. VRFocus will of course keep you updated with all the latest details on the discounts on Oculus Ready PCs offered to Oculus Rift pre-order customers.
