Valve had a big surprise for developers attending the 2016 Vision Summit today, offering them a free Vive Pre virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD). But Oculus VR wasn’t going to be left out. Palmer Luckey, company founder and creator of the Oculus Rift, has taken to the stage of the event to confirm that anyone that pre-orders the HMD will be getting a free four month trail of Unity Pro, the middleware platform from Unity Technologies

The founder made the announcement in a Q&A session with CEO John Riccitiello. In fact, the two had only agreed to pull this off some 15 hours before the time it was announced. Luckey expressed hopes that the move will get people to start making new VR content.

This only adds to the list of bonuses for the Oculus Rift. Pre-orderers will also be getting EVE: Valkyrie for free, while everyone that purchases the kit will get Lucky’s Tale, an Xbox One controller, and the Oculus Remote. Specific pre-orders for bundles with Oculus Ready PCs will also be going live next week.
