Welcome back to another week of virtual reality (VR) news on VRFocus. We may have now had the launch of the Gear VR  but there’s still plenty to talk about, especially from Samsung’s partners on that head-mounted display Oculus VR. As with last week, the company have released even more session footage from Oculus Connect 2. So we’ll be continuing our run of showcasing one of these sessions a day throughout the week.

For today we’re focusing on the world of videogames with the session Making Great VR: Lessons Learned from I Expect You To Die presented by Schell Games’ CEO Jesse Schell who combines humour and hard truth to recall what he and the studio has discovered about creating experiences in VR.

‘Jesse Schell has been creating VR experiences for over 20 years. In this talk, he shares what he has learned about creating great VR over the years, including many specific examples from I Expect You To Die.’

VRFocus will continue to bring you virtual reality (VR) related news, features and videos throughout the week. If you’re interested in seeing 2014’s original Oculus Connect you can watch all the videos on the VRFocus YouTube channel.
