Cherry Pop Games and Perilous Orbit have today launched the highly anticipated Pool Nation VR, exclusively for the HTC Vive. Available via Steam now, Pool Nation VR aims to deliver ‘the ultimate billiards experience infused with virtual reality’.

Based on the popular Pool Nation console and PC videogame franchise, Pool Nation VR brings the style and realistic physics of the series to the HTC Vive virtual reality (VR) system, incorporating a unique motion-control input system. Pool Nation VR lets players enter a lifelike billiard room to play variants of traditional pool against both AI bots and online humans, including built in voice chat.

“Shoot some pool, throw a few rounds of darts, take part in the time-honoured pastime of throwing empty beer bottles against the wall… and we won’t make you clean up the mess!” states the official description of Pool Nation VR on the videogame’s Steam Store page.

Earlier today VRFocus delivered a review of Pool Nation VR, stating that the videogame: “is one of the most enjoyable experiences currently available for the HTC Vive.”

Available via Steam now, Pool Nation VR is priced at $19.99 USD. There is currently no word on whether Pool Nation VR will be released on other VR formats – including Oculus Rift or PlayStation VR – however VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details from Cherry Pop Games and Perilous Orbit.
