Yesterday VRFocus reported on the news that Reload Studios, the team behind the upcoming virtual reality (VR) first-person shooter (FPS) World War Toons, would soon be releasing an ‘awesome’ new trailer along with some ‘exciting’ news in the near future. That trailer for the title, hasn’t been revealed in full just yet – though is expected to arrive sometime this week – but the developer has released a set of GIFs that appear to show small clips from it. Those GIFs can now be seen below.

The first of these images showcases one character firing a round from a tank as World War Toons‘ brand of multiplayer madness ensues around him. Next, another character can be seen riding a giant TNT rocket than an enemy character has the misfortune to meet head-on. The third and final GIF consists of several small shots from around the given map, with anvils, rubble and more raining down from above and causing even more mayhem. It looks as if each of these features will play a role in World War Toons‘ actual gameplay.

World War Toons itself is heading to PC and PlayStation 4 with support for the Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) respectively. The latter version of the title will be supporting the PlayStation Move motion controllers, though it’s yet to be confirmed if the Oculus Rift edition will integrate the Oculus Touch position-tracked devices. A release date for the full version of the videogame is yet to be set, though the Oculus Rift isn’t expected until Q1 2016 and PlayStation VR will be arriving some time in H1 2016.

VRFocus will continue to follow World War Toons closely, reporting back with the latest updates on its progress.
