Earlier today VRFocus reported on that Guerrilla Cambridge’s upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible multiplayer shooter, RIGS: Mechanized Combat League, would be coming to Paris Games Week (PGW) with a new level. Sure enough, publisher Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) has just introduced a brand new trailer for the title, which is on its way to the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) for PlayStation 4. That trailer can now be seen below.

The clip captures RIGS: Mechanized Combat League‘s arena feel, with a crowd cheering on teams of mechs that do battle. 2 teams of 3 players go head-to-head on the brand new map, set in Dubai, in a gameplay mode called Power Slam. The victor of this mode is the team who can score the most points, which is done by collecting power orbs to reach ‘Overdrive’ mode and then leaping through the elevated goal. However, as the map only features a single goal for both teams, it’s not likely that you’ll be able to approach it without coming under heavy fire.

RIGS: Mechanized Combat League is a PlayStation VR exclusive title set to launch alongside the HMD itself in 2016. VRFocus will be bringing you a hand-on preview of the new Dubai map very soon, but in the meantime the new trailer is available below.
