Previously, VRFocus reported on the downloadable demo for the nostalgic videogame title, New Retro Arcade: Neon, which launched just over a month ago. Now it has come that the full version is available to purchase from the Steam Store for both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

The studio shared that the arcade was upgraded according to the feedback and suggestions it received, however not all of the features could be fit into the videogame. In the trailer it is clear that players will have many games and activities to get through with their friends – 10 minigames in total to be exact – including the classic arcade machines, bowling, watching movies, and generally hanging out in the neon aesthetic area.

In the update where the upgrade to the full version was announced, Digital Cybercherries took time to comment on the support it received: “We cannot thank you all enough for the amazing support and encouragement shown to us by the community. New Retro Arcade started as a learning experience to help us fully explore the potential of Unreal Engine, but it soon became something way deeper than that; a VR passion project steeped in retro nostalgia.”

There are many key features listed for this videogame, including multiplayer networks for up to six players, customisable surroundings, the ability to watch videos from YouTube and Vimeo, interactive objects, and plenty of Easter eggs to find.

The full version of New Retro Arcade: Neon is currently available for £17.95 (GBP), a discounted price from the full tag of £19.95, which ends on Monday 8th August. The demo is still available, and the soundtrack is still available for purchase at £6.29.
