Earlier in the month VRFocus reported on the reveal of a new virtual reality (VR) space combat experience in CDF Starfighter from the team at MAG Studios. The title isn’t the first VR compatible project from the developer, which has previously worked on the likes of Ghostship: Aftermath. This week the team had released brand new footage of its upcoming title. That footage is currently on display below.

Over 6 minutes of gameplay is on display here, showcasing CDF Starfighter‘s brand of first-person, in-cockpit combat. The footage is taken from one of the titles challenges, and sees a player navigating an asteroid field as they taken down a number of enemy craft. At one point the player is even able to use a stealth mode, encasing the ship in cloaking that allows them to get the drop on others. The cockpit itself shows useful information such as details of the targeted enemy and a panel that zooms in on the action.

VRFocus will continue to follow CDF Starship closely, reporting back with the latest updates on it.
