Earlier in the week VRFocus reported on the launch of a Steam Greenlight campaign for a new virtual reality (VR) videogame named Caretaker. The experience from indie developer Xiotex Studios is hoping to secure enough positive votes in order to be approved for sale on Valve’s digital PC store when the full version becomes available. The campaign remains ongoing, but today VRFocus is taking a look at the first screenshots for the title, which can currently be seen below.

Caretaker combines exploration, puzzle and stealth gameplay into a unique mix in which players progress through an alien structure, hunting for the creature responsible for wiping out all of the stars in the entire universe. The shots below showcase the strange design of this structure, which the developer notes will be entirely unfamiliar to those that explore it.

Xiotex Studios is hoping to launch Caretaker in the first quarter of 2016 with full support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). VRFocus will continue to follow the title closely, reporting back with any further updates on its progress.
