The music industry has been slowly embracing virtual reality (VR) technology over the last year, with music videos appearing from British rock band Foals and The Donnies The Amys to name a few. Now Australian electronic duo Neda & Mars have released their first single ‘Clean Cut’, complimenting the release they’ve created a 360-degree lyric video.
Neda & Marrsare consist of acclaimed Samba Singer/Percussionist Néda and DJ/Producer Marrs Attaxx. Back in February they were invited to be part of Asia Pacific’s creative tech conference Pause Fest 2016. During the festival they officially launched the video at The Australian Center for Moving Image (ACMI) in Federation Square, closing the festival with an electro concert.
The duo have also created an innovative way of selling their music. Releasing their own virtual reality (VR) Google Cardboard head-mounted displays (HMDs), anyone who buys one will be able to download the single, and have exclusive access to future VR content.
Neda & Marrs will also be presenting at the Real World VR Meet Up series with Visual Playground at Loop Bar Melbourne, sharing how they are further integrating VR tech in their music career.
VRFocus will continue to bring you all the latest VR news from around the world, as more content creators embrace the technology.
