As the virtual reality (VR) sector expands with new indie developers seeking to make their mark in the industry, one of VR’s biggest supporters in the UK, nDreams is looking to help in that process. The VR studio up until now has only published its own projects, but recently its CEO Patrick O’Luanaigh has stated nDreams is now looking to publish third-party titles as well, specifically for VR.

Speaking to MCV O’Luanaigh said: “We are now looking for third-party titles.” He adds: “We’ve seen great companies like Team17 and Curve do some fantastic things in the publishing space in more traditional areas, and we’re very keen to do something similar and build something very rapidly in VR. We’re constantly growing and expanding. We’re very serious about being a major UK publisher, focusing specifically on VR.”

VRFocus reported back in October that indie developer Lilith cancelled its Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign for its VR horror experience Allison Rd, after signing up to Team17’s label. This allows the fledgling developer to use Team17’s resources, support and experience to bring its project to life. And its these qualities that nDreams can help studios with to get VR videogames off the ground.

nDreams’ current VR project is The Assembly, a first-person adventure experience casting players as 2 different protagonists in an intertwining story. The title will support the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) when they launch this year.

VRFocus will continue to bring you all the latest news from nDreams as the year goes on.
