It been a while since indie developer Shovsoft has released any new information on virtual reality (VR) space simulator Lunar Flight. The title, which is compatible with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) has now received a new cockpit re-design in a brand new video unveiled this week.

In the video the cockpit has had an impressive graphical overhaul with improved detailing, textures, lighting and HUD, giving a far more premium finish to the experience.

Shovsoft states in its description: “AO added to Materials & lighting has been finalised. The OHD now animates along with the power on and off states. Some cockpit LED’s and buttons as well as interior lights have animated emissive. HUD is 75% integrated using UGUI.”

Lunar Flight lets players experience a fully fictionalized and accessible lunar module simulator providing a variety of mission types involving transporting cargo, acquiring data at survey locations and locating lost cargo. Successful missions earn experience points and money to be used to refuel, repair and upgrade the lunar module.

VRFocus will continue to keep you updated with all the latest announcements on Lunar Flight as details are released.
