Back in January 2016 VRFocus reported on the launch of Poly Runner VR, a new virtual reality (VR) flight title from indie developer Lucid Sight, on the Gear VR mobile-based head-mounted display (HMD). The free release marked the studio’s VR debut, and it’s since moved on to other projects. This week, however, Lucid Sight is returning to Poly Runner VR with the release of a new version for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive PC-based HMDs, which is available now.

Poly Runner VR is an endless runner in which players steer a ship through a series of environments, collecting blue rings as they go. This version of the title can be played with tracked motion controllers, a gamepad, or a keyboard and mouse. It’s still free to download.

Since Poly Runner VR‘s launch Lucid Sight has also released another title for the Gear VR in a puzzler named Gumi no Yume. It’s also launched another Oculus Rift and HTC Vive title in Space Bit Attack, which pays homage to the original space invaders. It remains to be seen, then, if Gumi no Yume could also be coming to PC-based VR platforms in the near future.
