Earlier today VRFocus reported that Sony Computer Entertainment’s (SCE’s) London Studio had refreshed its logo. The update suggested that the company might have some news to make at the PlayStation VR media event today at the 2016 Game Developers Conference (GDC 2016) in San Francisco, California today. As it turns out, that is indeed the case. The studio has announced a compilation of its previous tech demos and much more in a release called PlayStation VR Worlds.
A trailer for PlayStation VR Worlds can be seen below. It confirms that a total of five experiences will be in the compilation. This includes The London Heist, the team’s popular action demo based on The Getaway series, Into the Deep (working title), which appears to be the deep sea experience revealed alongside PlayStation VR in 2014, and VR Luge, the downhill racing experience. In terms of new content, there’s a futuristic sport title known as Danger Ball and a sci-fi piece titled Scavenger’s Odyssey.
It’s not yet clear if PlayStation VR Worlds will be available at the launch of the kit itself in October 2016. There are 50 titles planned from that launch until the end of the year, however.
