Samsung is hosting the next edition of its Unpacked press events today, with a show that gets underway in Barcelona, Spain at 18:00 GMT just ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event next week. It’s been widely reported that the company will be showcasing its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S7 at the show, along with the Galaxy S7 Edge. News about the mobile-based virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD), Gear VR, is also expected. Now, a few hours before the show is set to begin, what seems to be a leaked brochure has surfaced online, seemingly confirming some of these rumours.

The brochure, posted by a German tech enthusiast and seen below, appears to be from a retailer in the country showcasing the Galaxy S7 and its curved counterpart. The former is said to cost €699 EUR, while the latter is priced at €799. Interestingly, the Galaxy S7 Edge also seems to have a slightly bigger screen at 5.5-inches, whereas the original model has a 5.1-inch screen. For VR fans, it’s also reaffirmed that people that pick up the kit will get a free Gear VR with their purchase, as had already been rumoured in the days leading up to the event.

Of course, these rumours are just that right now, and we’ll know for sure exactly what Samsung is planning in just a few hours’ time. If true, though, this could give the Gear VR and VR in general a massive push towards mainstream adoption and raising the interest in higher-end HMDs such as the Oculus Rift that are launching in the near future. As it stands right now, the Gear VR costs just $99 and runs with Samsung’s 2016 smartphones. It appears that this same model will be compatible with the Galaxy S7.

VRFocus will be offering full coverage of Samsung’s news from Barcelona.
