It took just a little while longer than expected, but Ustwo Games’ has finally released its anticipated virtual reality (VR) adventure title, Land’s End, onto the Gear VR mobile head-mounted display (HMD) this week. The title arrives as part of a wave of announcements and releases from Oculus VR and Samsung surrounding the launch of the consumer version of the Gear VR next week. Now a new trailer for Land’s End has been released to celebrate its launch.

This brief trailer is very similar to one seen a few months ago, though does note that the experience is out now right at the end. It features just over a minute of footage from the first-person experience in which players explore a series of isolated islands, solving puzzles and challenges as they go. The title is aiming to be similar in length to Ustwo Games’ last mobile hit, Monument Valley.

VRFocus went hands-on with Land’s End a few weeks ago and came away impressed. Its launch this week brings it a little closer to the 20th November release date for the consumer version of the Gear VR HMD in the US. The kit is available to pre-order now for just $99 USD and works with Samsung’s line of 2015 smartphones.

VRFocus will continue to follow Land’s End and all other titles for Gear VR, reporting back with the latest updates on them.
