For those that enjoy all the crime shows like CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) that focus on the scientific side of law enforcement, comes a new title for Samsung’s Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD) called Labster: CSI Forensics Lab.

Players are cast in the role of a CSI agent who must solve the murder of a professor. The police have a potential suspect, but currently don’t have enough evidence for a conviction. It’s up to you, using your skills and forensic expertise to solve the murder case and convict the right murderer.

Labster: CSI Forensics Lab is designed to let users discover the principles of forensic science, while immersed in a realistic VR laboratory. Using your fully equipped lab, you will guided by your personal assistant to perform experiments similar to real-life scientists, to uncover the truth.

The title utilises an inquiry based approach, using multiple choice test questions triggered by specific actions to test your learning. Labster then gives you feedback to help you understand the steps taken.

Developer Labster is a company that specialises in creating virtual multimedia tools, that teach students about a variety of laboratory techniques, alongside traditional teaching methods. The company partners with top universities and their leading faculty to create and develop, scientifically advanced labs.

Labster: CSI Forensics Lab is free to download now, and VRFocus will continue to report on the latest releases for the Gear VR HMD, as new titles are announced.
