This was my first 360 camera, that I ended up buying after a lot of research. At the time I was comparing the One X to the GoPro Fusion, and decided to go with this.

I bought this planning to only really use it to film snowboarding, especially reviews. It balances out between the nice standard (non wide angle) look of my Osmo Pocket, but also lets me film myself riding when there is no one around to film me.

Battery life: I have no idea how it compares to other 360 cameras, but I guess you can’t expect too much considering it is filming from two wide angle cameras at once, and I was almost always using it in cold to very cold and wet conditions – that is not what it was made for.

I only ever had it out in the weather when I was filming something, as soon as I was done it went back into the neoprene sleeve thing, and into my pocket so it never had to stay cold for too long, which seemed to help the battery. On the super cold days, I kept a hand warmer in my pocket which warmed the camera right up, and I was able to keep it going much longer than normal.

Video Quality: I almost always filmed in the 5.7k 30fps mode, and the quality is quite good especially on bright sunny days. On cloudy days it is still not bad, though you can’t expect much from any camera on a grey day in a snowy environment.

Accessories: The invisible selfie stick https://amzn.to/2LWXKrE is something you would need to have with this, is lets you get some good footage and interesting shots. The best part is that when it is compacted down, it just fits in my jacket pocket. If it didn’t, I would have hated having to carry it around when I was just riding.

Workflow: I ended up batch converting all the files in Insta Studio, exporting them as the full joint video, then putting them into Premiere for editing. I used the GoPro Reframe plugin to do the fine tuning – change the zoom, lens corrections and animating, after I watched Abe Kislevitz tutorial. Seeing that I did all my editing in Premiere anyway, it seemed to be the fastest way for me.

Although I don’t have any experience with other 360 cameras, I can recommend this, once you work out how to use it, and how to play with the footage after it is filmed, it can do quite a nice job.
