Insomnia58 has been called the largest gaming event in the UK, and is boasting the attendance of some of the most influential players in the online gaming community. This year is seeing the first VR-specific section to the event with access to HTC Vive content and videogames, which will have its own pre-registration booking.

Although there isn’t too much information to be shared on this brand new section to Insomnia58, it has been said that attendees will be able to pre-book their slot for the all-new VR section, which will offer access to “exclusive content and games on the HTC Vive.”, which presumably will be vast for it to have its own section.

Previously on the event’s website, it had been said that during the event in December that HTC Vive made its debut, and so it has only taken a few months for the momentum to build enough for there to be a whole section dedicated to VR.

The event will take place at the NEC Birmingham from 26th to 29th August, the bank holiday weekend. Tickets are currently on sale on the website, which all include different levels of access on different days. They range from £25 (GBP) for one of the days, which will give you access to the exhibition, main stage, feature zones, and Esport stage access; £60 for the weekend which will give you additional access to indoor camping, and £99 for Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) which will give additional access to BYOC tornament entry and a seat in the LAN gaming areas.

It isn’t clear on the website about the pre-registration booking for the VR area, but expect there to be updates on VRFocus on what to expect at Insomnia58.
