HTC today held a conference addressing the planned ecosystem for the HTC Vive in China. Along with revealing a number of new virtual reality (VR) experiences coming to the head-mounted display (HMD), the company announced a new Accelerator Program in which $100m USD will be invested to ‘cultivate the VR industry and the development of the ecological business’.

Chaired by HTC CEO, Cher Wang, the announcement revealed that the Accelerator Program will be launched in three cities: Beijing, Taipei and San Francisco. At present, no details of specific locations, timelines or development studios involved has been made available.

The HTC Vive launched earlier this month, with shipments across North America and Europe currently being distributed. VRFocus has reached out to HTC for further details on this announcement and will continue to follow this story.
