I’ve found an old XY microphone mount and got an idea to use it to create “stereo” video, instead of stereo music. So I go out to the forest to give it a try.

My basic idea is to replace microphone screws with smaller screws for cameras, and it will simulate the positions of human eyes. I think a mount with adjustable distances would be much better to find the best positions, but hopefully this setup will also work well.

I use a pair of Kodak Pixpro SP360 4K mounted a little bit differently than it’s normal, side-by side. These cameras have very wide lenses, so although this video will be not a full 360° 3D video, but we will be able to look around a little bit: just like we were seeing with someone’s eyes.
