It’s been a little while since virtual reality (VR) fans have heard from narayana Games and its dancing title, HoloDance. The unique experience is planned to roll out to a number of head-mounted displays (HMDs) in the near future, though has this week made its first official release. The developer has launched the project on Steam’s Early Access system with support for the HTC Vive HMD and its Room-Scale user tracked feature. A new trailer for the title has also been released, and can now be seen below.

HoloDance is a first-person experience in which players use the HTC Vive’s position tracked controllers to bat away orbs to a beat as they fly in. You can see how this is done in the trailer, which takes after Northway Games’ clips for Fantastic Contraption in presenting a mixed reality (MR) view of the project, putting the player inside of the VR world that they are experiencing. In a fantastical twist, a dragon will fire these orbs at the player, which will keep in-step with the music being played.

The title is discounted by 15% and available for $8.49 USD until 12th April 2016. The full price for the title – which should release in two to three months’ time – will be $19.99.

Stay tuned to VRFocus for the latest updates on the title.
