Square Enix’s first commercial virtual reality (VR) release has now been confirmed for both Oculus Rift and Gear VR, launching on both head-mounted displays (HMDs) simultaneously. A Steam edition of the videogame recently launched, but does not feature VR compatibility at this time.

An adaptation of the mobile videogame which places the player in charge of a virtual board game edition of the hugely popular Hitman franchise, Hitman GO sees you put your stealth tactics into practice in a turn-based videogame. Players must move protagonist Agent 47 along a set path through each level whilst avoiding being detected.

Originally revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Los Angeles, last year, the Gear VR version has been showcased at a number of events. The Oculus Rift version however, has been much harder to come by. Both versions of the videogame will launch on 11th May 2016, priced at $8 USD on the Gear VR and $10 on the Oculus Rift. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on Hitman GO.
