The Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) launches one week from today on 28th March 2016. With it comes a total of 30 launch titles, one of the most anticipated of which has to be Lucky’s Tale, an Oculus VR exclusive platform-based experience in development at Playful. The experience was recently seen on display with every other Oculus Rift launch videogame at last week’s Game Developers Conference (GDC), but has now received a brand new trailer that can currently be seen below.

Clocking in at just under a minute in length, the trailer takes a look at many of the colourful environments that players will visit in this third-person experience, the release of which has been likened to the launch of Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64 when 3D videogaming first arrived. There’s also plenty of footage of the different types of footage and challenges that players will encounter, and even one of the first chances to hear Lucky himself speak.

Anyone that picks up the Oculus Rift from here on out will be getting a copy of Lucky’s Tale for free. Stay tuned to VRFocus for more on the title.
