Officially revealed during this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Los Angeles, Resident Evil 7 biohazard is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 early next year, complete with full virtual reality (VR) support for the PlayStation VR on the latter format. However, a question remains over just how similar Resident Evil 7 biohazard will be to its predecessors. To answer that question, Capcom has revealed a new titbit sure to please some series fans.
Resident Evil 7 biohazard received a warm reception at announcement and strode onto PlayStation 4 as one of the first big videogame franchises to support PlayStation VR directly and in its entirety. Some doubts remain over the comfort of the experience, however in VRFocus’ hands-on time with Resident Evil 7 biohazard no such issues were present. Instead, it’s a question of just how much of the gameplay adequately lends itself to VR and how closely Resident Evil 7 biohazard can maintain the common gameplay traits of the much loved series.
Well, it seems at least one staple of the franchise is set to return, as Capcom has revealed that the infamous healing item, Green Herb, will be making a comeback. Members of the Resident Evil Ambassador programme have received the below message via e-mail, showing the visual design of the Green Herb, it’s formula variant and a strange coin teasing more to come.
