There are plenty of bizarre virtual reality (VR) videogames on the horizon, but few are weirder than GNOG, and that’s meant in the best way possible. This promising puzzle title from indie developer KO-OP is set to launch on PlayStation 4 with support for Sony Computer Entertainment’s (SCE’s) PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) next year. In it, players will visit several different monster heads and interact with them in unpredictable ways, solving challenges that allow them to progress to another set of heads. VRFocus recently got the chance to speak with KO-OP about this wholly unique idea and the decision to support VR.

In the interview below the team’s Saleem Dabbous talks about GNOG‘s origins, both in terms of its development and how it came to be a part of the Double Fine family as part of the developer’s ‘Double Fine Presents’ label. That’s also talk of potential support for the PlayStation Move motion controller and when the team might start showcasing the VR version.

VRFocus will continue to follow GNOG closely, reporting back with the latest updates on its progress.
