Yesterday there was a flurry of news surrounding Samsung and Oculus VR at the Samsung Unpacked 2016 event, much of which concerned the future of virtual reality (VR) for the partnered companies. One statistic that Oculus VR is talking more about is the size and expansion of app selection on the Gear VR in the Oculus Store, and the improvements being made to the store.

Oculus has published a blog post outlining the news, saying there are now over 200 apps and games to choose from on Gear VR, and there are now more to be expected to come soon. Some of the more recent additions include Goosebumps, PGA TOUR, and Hidden Temple. Coming soon to Gear VR will be the multiplayer battle video game Herobound: Gladiators, fishing simulator Bait, and safety puzzle Please Don’t Touch Anything.

Gear VR users can look forward to a constant flow of new apps and games as well as improvements to the Oculus Store as a whole, including ‘reviews, auto updates, additional currency options, and more’. The Oculus team went on to say on the blog: “We’re excited to partner with Samsung to bring virtual reality to millions of people around the world with Gear VR.”
