Samsung and Oculus VR’s Gear VR mobile-based virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) enjoyed a handful of releases last month, and it appears there’s more on that way in February 2016. Atlanta-based indie developer Furious Union has announced that its latest VR title, Mega Spacehole, will be coming to the platform, which runs with Samsung’s latest Galaxy smartphones, later this month for $4.99 USD.

Mega Spacehole is described as a face-paced arcade first-person shooter (FPS) in which you will have to, in the words of the trailer below, ‘Defend Your Face’. Set in a series of arenas, places will have to fight off a number of approaching enemies, with their score being based on the amount of shield strength remaining at the end of a round. 30 levels feature in which players will fight to earn the ranking of ‘Mega Spacehole’.

The title boasts a colourful, blocky art style and will feature power ups for players to collect.
