With the Google I/O conference at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, due to begin later today, both virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) news is expected. Prior to that, developer Funomena has announced an AR title, Woorld for Project Tango that will be showcased at the show.

Woorld is a light hearted exploration title from a team featuring designer Keita Takahashi (Wattam, Katamari Damacy, Noby Noby Boy), where you can transform your own space into a virtual world full of toys.

Using a mobile device players will be able to discover and create digital objects and creatures that can then be viewed in a physical space. The experience can then be shared with anyone else through the same screen and they can also create and collaborate on the experience.

The AR title’s first outing will be at Google I/O, with developers from across the globe getting a first hand look before a full release later on this year.

As further details are released on Woorld, VRfocus will bring you all the latest announcements.
