At the end of 2015 virtual reality (VR) developer ForeignVR announced its multiplayer videogame Ruckus Ridge had successfully passed its Steam Greenlight campaign. Now the studio has released a new trailer for the VR title which supports the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive head-mounted displays (HMDs).

Ruckus Ridge is designed as a VR party videogame for up to four players. Three players view the title on screen and one user wears a headset, giving 1-vs-3 couch multiplayer experience as the developer describes it. There are various mini-games to play all centred around the three non-VR users hiding in boxes to sneak up on the VR user who is surrounded by a field of boxes.

Whilst disguised in a box players must move forward without being spotted doing so or alternatively discovered through observation of the field around them. It is the job of the VR user from a first-person perspective to defend themselves and to shoot any suspect boxes.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Ruckus Ridge, Reporting back with the latest developments.
