I spent two weeks exploring Turkey & filming a project for Matador Network. Before I left, many people were asking me if it was safe there, if I was worried, which then led me to be a little more more worried. After spending two weeks there, I can say I met nothing but the kindest warmest people and had an exceptional experience.

While I was there I was filming a little with my Sony A7SII but also with several 360 cameras. I’ve played around with a lot of 360 cameras over the last few years and I’ve never really been much of a fan personally. That being said, I’m really impressed by the quality of the GoPro Fusion. Not only is it waterproof, has built in stabilization shoots in 5.2k but we also now have the software available to utilize the 360 content in a 2d space. It’s nothing fancy or proprietary to GoPro(they call it Overcapture) but it’s really opening up some new creative doors.
