CCP Games announced today that EVE Gunjack is the best selling videogame on the Samsung Gear VR mobile head-mounted display (HMD). That success has been followed by releases for both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, and still to come a PlayStation VR version was confirmed to VRFocus today.

EVE Gunjack is playable on desktop based HMDs for all attendees of the currently on-going EVE Fanfest 2016, Reykjavik. However, in an interview with VRFocus, CCP Shanghai brand manager Michael Lee confirmed that a PlayStation VR version of the videogame is also in development.

“Currently, right now we also plan to port to PSVR,” stated Lee. “Aside from that we have also begun work on the next project.”

Lee stated that the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive editions of EVE Gunjack received visual and audio improvements over the Gear VR release, so it’s safe to assume that the PlayStation VR edition of the videogame will also follow suit. No release date information was provided, nor pricing, though the videogame’s sister title EVE: Valkyrie has already been confirmed as a launch title for PlayStation VR.

VRFocus will bring you the full interview with Lee soon, as well as keeping you updated with all the latest details on the PlayStation VR port of EVE Gunjack¸ as well as future VR projects from CCP Shanghai.
