Taking place next week in Los Angeles, California is the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), featuring the very latest videogames and gaming technology from around the world. For the show developers usually create brand new trailers for their titles and White Lotus Interactive is no different, releasing it E3 trailer for XING: The Land Beyond this week.

The new gameplay footage features some of the core mechanics that players will utilise in the first-person puzzle adventure. Taking you through part of the first level set on the beach, there’s scattered rocks which reveal the story and interactive objects to find that unlock other parts of the area.

XING: The Land Beyond will be on display at Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE’s) PlayStation booth but the developer hasn’t confirmed if it’ll be showing a virtual reality (VR) version at the event. White Lotus Interactive confirmed support for the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) back in March 2016 in a PlayStation.Blog posting. The title will also head to the Oculus Rift as the Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign hit its stretch goal for the HMD, at $25,000 USD.

For backers looking forward to get their hands on XING: The Land Beyond they’re going to have to wait a little longer. The original launch was due this spring but as the project has grown in size and detail the release date has been moved to the end of 2016.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of XING: The Land Beyond, reporting back with any new updates.
