With film studios catching on to the marketing pull of virtual reality (VR) technology, The Walk and The Martian being two prime examples, comedy sequel Zoolander 2 is also getting the VR treatment. With the film opening this weekend fans can join Derek Zoolander on a fashion shoot care of the Jaunt VR app.

Zoolander Infinity takes viewers behind the scenes on Ben Stiller’s character, as the ridiculously good looking model flashes Blue Steel, parades the runways and more. Jaunts VR app is available for iOS and Android platforms, and fans can use Goggle Cardboard or similar head-mounted display (HMD) units to enjoy the experience. The app is also available for Samsung Gear VR headsets.

Filmed on Jaunts own proprietary 360-degree, stereoscopic 3D camera, Jaunt One, the video can be viewed through Facebooks 360-degree video portal which launch in September last year.

Directed and starring Ben Stiller, Zoolander 2 features an all star cast including Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, Penélope Cruz, Kristen Wiig, Fred Armisen, Kyle Mooney, Milla Jovovich, Christine Taylor and Justin Theroux. The film is written by Justin Theroux, Ben Stiller,  John Hamburg and Nicholas Stoller.

The Jaunt VR app is free to download, and VRFocus will continue to bring you the latest content launched on the app.
