If you were reading VRFocus yesterday, you’d have seen Crytek had lots of new announcements to share at its press conference for the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2016 in San Francisco. The developer revealed a new version of its CryEngine development software and a new virtual reality (VR) project codenamed Project Sky Harbor. Its other VR project The Climb didn’t really feature, but that’s been addressed today with a new trailer.

This latest video for The Climb showcases a new area, The Alps. Inspired by the European mountain it features a rugged, expansive landscape with snow-capped mountains, glassy lakes, a fairy-tale castle, and more. Coming to the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) as a platform exclusive, this is the second location to be revealed by the studio.

The videogame has been given an April release date by Oculus VR with a price of $49.99 USD. VRFocus will continue its coverage of The Climb, reporting back any further updates.
